Dickensian Festival

As we’ve mentioned, Ulverston is a vibrant town with many festivals throughout the year. The next big event is the Dickensian Festival.

On Saturday the 27th and Sunday the 28th of November shopkeepers and residents will be dressing up in period clothes and attending a fantastic market in the town. This really is a great day out for the family. A Christmas market will complement Ulverston’s wide array of independent shops, with a traditional fairground, music and entertainment all day. From humble beginnings over ten years ago the festival has grown into one of the highlights of the Ulverston festival calender. The cobbled street and old buildings provide a perfect backdrop to one of the most popular Dickens themed festivals in the U.K.

There are some photos of last years’ event here:- http://www.dickensianfestival.co.uk/

Hope to see you there!
